Blanchard, who's primary position is shortstop, led the Warriors to a 16-6 record last season. He batted .524 with 12 doubles, five home runs, 36 runs scored and 29 RBI.
For his career, Blanchard batted .418 with 12 homers, 35 doubles, four triples, 125 runs scored and 100 RBI.
Blanchard (6-foot, 180 pounds) was also a standout quarterback for the Warrior football team. He guided Cherokee County to a perfect 15-0 season last year and the Class 4A state championship, a season in which he also claimed the state's Mr. Football award.
Blanchard has signed to play both baseball and football at Jacksonville State University.
